DESCRIPTION

The one constant in every organization is CHANGE. There are three categories/levels of change: anticipatory, reactive, and crisis. The cost associated with each increases exponentially from low and reasonable to high and outrageous. In some instances, we anticipate the need for change while other times we are faced with unanticipated critical issues that need immediate attention.  So, if anticipatory change is the least costly, why aren’t we employing that strategy? Because it is harder to get starter, harder for employees to understand the importance of the change, or we are just too busy…

In this session, we will discuss the categories/levels of change, be reintroduced to Kotters and Lewins change models and then hear from our panelists of how these change models applied to changes in their organizations. They will discuss what worked and why, as well as what could have been enhanced in support of the best outcome.

OUTCOMES

Participants will gain insight into

  • To the categories/levels of change and strategies that can be employed for each level.
  • Designing and managing effective change strategies to align organizational performance with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Building a coalition to support and communicate the value, benefit, and organizational need for the change.
