DESCRIPTION

Listening – The Key to Great Communications

As children, we have spent hours in classrooms learning how to read and to write, two key forms of communication. Combined with speaking, we head out into the world thinking we are great communicators. However, the most important communication skill is the ability to listen, particularly listening with the intent to understand. In this skill-development workshop, attendees will learn the principles of empathic listening and come away with new learning about this often-overlooked skill.

OUTCOMES

This program will provide HR professionals with a better understanding regarding:

the connection between employee retention strategies and practices and effective communication, in particular listening skills.
the benefits of listening skills with an impact on promoting diversity and inclusion.
how listening increases credibility and value as an advisor to leaders of the organization.
