DEI Metrics: Gateway to a Successful DEI Initiative

We are pleased to have two of last year’s panelist from Developing Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Metrics return to conduct this program on DEI Metrics: Gateway to a Successful DEI Initiative. This program aligns with our program year theme: Anything is Possible. This meeting will be a hybrid; held in person at NEEBCO (New England Employee Benefits Company) 19 Chenell Drive, Conference Center, Concord NH. Attendees can park anywhere on the property that does not have a designated tenant parking sign and with a virtual alternative through GoToWebinar. You will be able to select your attendance preference at time of registration. 

DESCRIPTION

We have two award-winning DEI organizational consultants conducting this seminar. This will be an interactive program. The session commences with a brief recap of our 2022 session, Developing Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Metrics. The participants will be asked to share information about

  • what their organizations are doing to manage/assess their DEI initiatives?
  • solicits examples of participants' organization's awareness/sensitivity to a dynamic workforce (a la: Multi-lingual, Multi-Cultural, etc.)
  • what continues to keep them up at night re: DEI Metrics; or, other dimensions of DEI initiatives

The next portion will encompass Setting the Foundation: incorporating key components of James McKim’s DEI Goals and Metrics Workshop;" specific focus = measuring the impact of DEI efforts. Armando Llorente will share examples of how/where organizations started their journeys to create KPI's; focus =  impactful vs."Puff" goals, and highlights: 

SHRM's Guidelines for Building a DEI Initiative

  • Data Collection & Analytics
  • Strategy Must Match Business/Organization's Objectives
  • Implementation
  • Evaluating & Continually Auditing Plan and Progress; SPOTLIGHT: the Diversity Dashboard (aka. "Heat Map")
  • Best Practices

OUTCOMES

This program will provide HR professionals with a better understanding regarding:

  • establishing impactful DEI goals and metrics
  • utilizing tools to help manage/assess your organization's DEI initiatives (ex: via "Heat Map, Traffic Light Model, etc.")
  • modifying KPI's to align with employers' needs
  • incorporating agility/preparing for DEI's future (a la the Supreme Court's Recent decision re: AAP)
